Honor has quietly launched the Honor X8e 4G, a rugged battery-first phone with a 7,700mAh battery, a 108MP main camera and IP69K protection, appearing in Honor's Azerbaijan lineup on 28 October 2026, according to GSMArena and WhatMobile. It has not launched in Pakistan, and Honor has confirmed no Pakistan price or date, so treat this as a watch-and-wait story, not a phone you can buy locally today.
The X8e is almost identical to the Honor X7e Plus 4G from August 2026, with one major upgrade: the battery grows to 7,700mAh. Everything else, from chip to screen, is modest, making this a clear trade-off of durability and battery life against speed and sharpness.
Honor X8e 4G price and availability: not in Pakistan yet
Honor has not announced a Pakistan price or launch date for the X8e, and NetMag explicitly warns Pakistani buyers to wait for an announcement from Honor or an authorised local distributor before relying on local pricing estimates. In Azerbaijan, where the phone has launched, retailers list the single 6GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration at AZN 820, with some sellers at AZN 688, which WhatMobile converts to roughly Rs. 133,000 and Rs. 114,000 respectively.
Those converted figures are not a Pakistan price: they are a rough guide to the abroad cost, before local taxes, warranty costs or retailer margins. Do not pay an importer a "Pakistan price" based on them, or trust early local listings quoting a firm rupee price, because Honor has published none. To keep the official listing handy, a free link shortener can turn its long address into a short link saved on your phone.
Full specifications of the Honor X8e 4G
- Display: 6.87-inch TFT LCD, HD+ resolution (720 x 1592), 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,020 nits peak brightness
- Performance: Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 (6nm), 6GB RAM, 256GB storage, no microSD slot listed
- Camera: 108MP main rear camera, 5MP front camera
- Battery: 7,700mAh with 45W Honor SuperCharge wired charging
- Software: Android 16 with MagicOS 10
- Durability: IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, 2.5-metre drop resistance, extreme temperature tolerance
- Colours: Sunrise Orange, Desert Gold and Velvet Black, as listed in Azerbaijan
The durability ratings deserve a plain explanation. IP68 and IP69 cover dust and water, while IP69K adds resistance to high-pressure, high-temperature water jets, a rating usually seen on industrial equipment. Combined with 2.5-metre drop resistance, this is a phone built for construction sites, farms and delivery work.
Where the Honor X8e falls short
The Snapdragon 685 is the phone's biggest weakness, and reviewers do not hide it. GSMArena calls it a chip that belongs in a museum, and WhatMobile calls it ancient, because it is an older 4G-only chip with modest graphics. It will handle calls, WhatsApp, YouTube and light apps, but it will struggle with demanding games, and it offers no 5G at all. For a phone that could cost well over Rs. 100,000 if imported, that is a hard sell for most buyers.
The screen is the second compromise: at 6.87 inches with only HD+ resolution, it is large but not sharp, and 120Hz helps smoothness without fixing that. The 5MP front camera is basic, and the 108MP main camera will be limited by the entry-level chip's image processing, not by its sensor size.
Should Pakistani buyers wait for the Honor X8e?
Wait, and only buy if Honor launches it officially in Pakistan with a local warranty and a sensible price. An imported unit would carry uncertain warranty and PTA status and an inflated price, a poor deal for a phone whose chip is already dated. If it launches locally, it will suit someone who works outdoors, drops phones often, or needs two days of battery and does not care about gaming or 5G.
For everyone else, locally sold phones with a newer chip, sharper screen and official warranty offer better value. For a rugged case, charger or screen protector for your current phone, visit our JustMobilePk store.
