OnePlus officially launched the OnePlus 16 in China on October 12, 2026, and the specs are attention-grabbing: a massive 9,000mAh battery, a 185Hz gaming display, a 200MP main camera, and Qualcomm's brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip. But there is a catch for fans elsewhere — OnePlus has confirmed it is not rolling out new products in North America or Europe, and it has announced nothing for Pakistan either. Here is what the launch means for Pakistani buyers.
OnePlus 16: China Price and Launch Details
The OnePlus 16 starts at CNY 5,999 (roughly $900) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in China. The full China lineup is:
- 12GB + 256GB: CNY 5,999
- 12GB + 512GB: CNY 6,799
- 16GB + 512GB: CNY 7,499
- 16GB + 1TB: CNY 8,499
Open sales in China go through the OPPO online store. The phone comes in three colors: Tomorrow's Star, Martian Masterpiece, and Dark Forest. Notably, the starting price is 50% higher than the OnePlus 15's CNY 3,999 launch price — a jump driven partly by the upgraded hardware and partly by the industry-wide memory cost squeeze pushing phone prices up this year.

OnePlus 16: Full Specifications
Display — 185Hz gaming panel
The 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display runs at 1,272 x 2,772 resolution (450ppi) with up to 2,000 nits local peak brightness and 3,840Hz PWM dimming. The refresh rate story is clever: the system UI and supported apps run natively at 165Hz, while supported games can push it to 185Hz — the highest refresh rate on any mainstream phone. Slim 1.15mm bezels and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor round out the front.
Performance — Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
Qualcomm's new 2nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 peaks at 5.01GHz with an Adreno 850 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus adds three dedicated chips for gaming: the P4 Super Display Chip, the Lingxi Touch Chip, and the G3 Esports Network Chip that lowers network lag. A new "Glacier" vapor chamber is claimed to cool 40% more efficiently than the previous generation.
Camera — 200MP flagship setup
The rear camera system includes a 200MP main sensor (1/1.4-inch), a 50MP 3x telephoto, and a 50MP ultrawide, plus a 50MP front camera. XPAN-style and Master camera modes target photography enthusiasts, and one color variant gets a rear lighting feature.
Battery and charging
The 9,000mAh Glacier Battery is the biggest on any major flagship this year — up from 7,300mAh on the OnePlus 15. It supports 100W wired charging (claimed 80% in 37 minutes) and 50W wireless charging, with battery health rated to stay robust for at least five years.
Build and software
The phone carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance ratings, and runs ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
What It Means for Pakistani Buyers
OnePlus has no official presence in Pakistan, and the company has not announced any global launch for the OnePlus 16 — its official notice says it is concluding new product rollouts in North America and Europe, with only software support continuing for existing devices. Realistically, Pakistani buyers will only see the OnePlus 16 through grey-market importers.
That comes with two big caveats. First, an imported, non-PTA-approved phone faces one of the highest tax burdens in the region — imported flagships above $500 already face duties around 50% or more of the device value, and the phone will be blocked by PTA after a short grace period unless the tax is paid. Second, imported units carry no official warranty, and the 100W SUPERVOOC charging ecosystem (chargers, cables) is harder to source locally.
If the OnePlus 16 ever reaches Pakistan officially — or via reliable importers — it would be one of the most compelling flagships for gamers. Until then, buyers looking for a big-battery flagship with local warranty should look at officially launched alternatives instead. Keep an eye on the JustMobilePk Store for accessories like 100W chargers that work with any brand.

Final Verdict
The OnePlus 16 is a genuine spec monster — the 9,000mAh battery and 185Hz display set new industry benchmarks. For Pakistani buyers, though, it remains a wait-and-watch story: no official launch, no local warranty, and heavy PTA taxes on imports. Officially launched flagships in Pakistan remain the safer buy for now.
